Belle Vue Managing director David Gordon revealed that club are making substantial progress on the new National Speedway stadium.
The Aces will continue to ride at Kirkmanshulme Lane this season while work at the new site adjacent to the stadium will start in the summer. The construction of the new facility will take an estimated 30 weeks to complete.
MD David Gordon says that the club are pushing hard to move the project forward and he is optimistic about the future.
He told a Fan Forum: “We are in the nitty gritty discussions involving many aspects of the new stadium. We are making what I would call the hard yards. We are pushing as hard as we can to move forward but we can only push so hard.
“It’s frustrating but we are making substantial progress and that’s the main thing. We are not discussing if something will happen but when it will happen and Manchester City Council are still supporting us. A lot of things are in place and I am optimistic of a great future.”
