Smolinski Joins Birmingham

German National Champion Martin Smolinski is the latest rider to sign for the Birmingham Brummies.
The 27-year-old returns to British Speedway on a regular basis for the first time since 2007 when he rode for the Coventry Bees. Smolinski will take the number two race jacket at Perry Barr and joins Bjerne Pedersen, Sebastian Ulamek, Ben Barker, Danny King, Josh Auty, Tyson Nelson and Tomasz Piszcz.
New Selco Brummies co-owner Alan Phillips, of BCTG, said on the clubs website, “We extend a very warm Birmingham welcome to Martin. Everything points to him resuming a successful British racing career”.
