Birmingham Brummies have completed their squad with the signing of Swedish International Magnus Karlsson.
The 30-year-old Leicester rider has been brought into the team to share a doubling-up role with Ben Barker, the Brit will be the first choice for the Brummies this season.
Birmingham team manager Graham Drury hopes that if Karlsson does get a chance to ride then he can sake a claim to be first choice next year.
Drury on the clubs website: “Magnus will very much be second choice for this role behind Ben Barker but I’m thinking he can do a job for us and then become first choice for the 2013 season.
“I’ve seen him ride Perry Barr superbly in the past when he was with Scunthorpe and I’ve got no doubt he can do a solid job for us when we call on him."
