Eastbourne have completed their lineup for the 2012 season with the signing of long term target Denis Gizatullin.
The Eagles have been keen on bringing him to Arlington in the past but the Russian has struggle to pass an English test, Gizatullin has been learning the language and has now passed the test required to ride in the country.
The 28-year-old's move to Elite League playoff finalists is subject to him obtaining a visa to ride in Britain, and the Eagles are hopeful that he will receive a visa and take his place in their team.
Manager Trevor Geer told theargus.co.uk: “We have never lost interest in Denis and have continued to track his progress.
"Now he has passed the English test, we believe he will get the visa to allow him to ride in Britain.”
Subject to the necessary clearance, Gizatullin will join the club at reserve and link up with Joonas Kylmakorpi, Simon Gustafsson, Lewis Bridger, Cameron Woodward, Lukas Dryml & Limo Lahti.
