Reigning Elite League Champions Poole have signed U21 Swedish International Ludvig Lindgren.
The 21-year-old from Orebro will share a doubling-up role alongside Australian Sam Masters this season whilst also riding for Newcastle in the Premier League. Poole Boss Matt Ford confirmed that Masters will be the 'senior' choice between the two riders but already knows that the Australian will miss around eight meetings.
Ford told the clubs website, "I was impressed with him when he rode here on June 8th last year and whilst he only scored two points on that night he was certainly riding above that level and he was unfortunate to be written out of the meeting when he was involved in an ugly looking crash in heat 10."

"He has done a reasonable job with Wolverhampton in the past and the experience of riding here on a bigger track can only help his development. He is a nice lad, pleasant to deal with and I am pleased to give him a chance with us." Ford concluded.
Lindgren is owned by Birmingham and joins the Pirates on loan this year, he started his British career in 2008 with Wolverhampton and rode in eight meetings before spending a full season with the Brummies in the Premier League the folowing year.

Lindgren becomes the eighth rider to be confirmed for the Pirates as they look to defend their title this upcomming season.
