Australian Chris Holder will lead the reigning Elite League Champions this year after being handed the captaincy.
The 24-year-old Grand Prix star takes over from Davey Watt who has left to ride for Lakeside this season, Watt led the club to the title last season and also to a runner-up finish in 2010.
Holder admits that his new role will be a distraction for him but is excited to have been given the job.
"Things have gone pretty well so far and I’m stoked to be the skipper." he told SpeedwayGP.com
He added “It can be a distraction, but that’s part of the deal. I always tried to help the boys out last year. But when you’re captain, you’ve got to run up and down the pits and make sure everyone is going alright.”
