Krzysztof Kasprzak is expected to be out for at least a week following a crash whilst racing for Gorzow in the Polish Ekstraliga yesterday.
Gorzow were taking on reigning champions Tarnow at the Edward Jancarz Stadium where Kasprzak crashed out in heat 10 – his third ride – and caused severe bruising to his arm and leg.
Gorzow went on to win the meeting by 55 points to 35; however the injury means Kasprzak is set to miss Gorzow’s clash with top of the table Torun next Sunday as well as Coventry’s home fixture against Birmingham on Friday.
Coventry also have away fixtures against Wovlerhampton and Poole within the next 10 days – meetings which Kasprzak is also likely to be absent from.
Krzysztof Kasprzak’s official Twitter account released the following details “Kris is still in hospital recovering from severe bruising on the back from shoulders to legs with muscle damage to right arm and hand.
“Kris will have at least one week of rest but will be busy working on his testimonial at Poole in September.”
