Australian Taylor Poole will make his Eastbourne debut against Belle Vue on Saturday after reserve David Lampart has had his permission to ride in the UK revoked.
Lampart said on Tuesday that he was considering quitting the South Coast club and the latest development could take the decision out of his hands with the Eagles management looking at the longer term for the position, Poole who is the clubs current number eight and rides for Ipswich in the Premier League will come into the team for his first appearance.
Eagles’ co-promoter Mike Bellerby said to the clubs webiste: “We received the notification at lunchtime on Wednesday via the BSPA that his start permission had been withdrawn with immediate effect. The letter gave no reason for the decision.
“We have moved quickly to get Taylor Poole riding for us against the Aces. I think he will do a good job for us. We have been delighted to see how well he is scoring for Ipswich in the Premier League.”
